The Institute is committed to supporting NTUC's global centric efforts, bilateral capacity building programmes, seminars for local union leaders and equipping international perspectives in our ongoing programmes.
The Institute has collaborated with numerous regional / international organisations to raise mindshare and enhance capacity building for industrial relations and the local labour movement. Over the years, foreign delegations have engaged the services of the Institute to conduct sessions on leadership, Singapore Industrial Relations System, Grievance Handling Process, Negotiation Skills, Tripartism, etc.
The Institute is a strong partner of International Trade Union Confederation – Asia Pacific (ITUC-AP) and Japan International Labour Foundation (JILAF). On an annual basis, about 40 young leaders from the region will go through leadership training under the ITUC-AP / OTC Institute / JILAF Young Leadership Course.
The Institute also works regularly with International Labour Office Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ILO ACTRAV) and on programmes including employment relationship, labour laws, leadership training,wage policies and collective bargaining and industrial relations.
