| Leadership Development Programmes (LDP) |

The LDP aims to equip union leaders with the requisite mindsets, skills and knowledge to help members and engage employers effectively.
The courses offered comprise a combination
of progressive certificate courses in Industrial Relations (IR), Leadership and Human Resource Management (HRM) up to the Diploma in Employment Relations (DER) which is jointly offered with SIM University (UniSIM). Short courses ranging from 1 or 2 days are also available for the unionists to pick up knowledge or hone their expertise in specific areas of interest. Customised courses are also provided for unions. In addition to formal courses,
learning journeys are organized taking trade union education beyond the classroom for the unionists to gain insights on working of the economy and tripartite initiatives at the workplace. |

| Trade Union Awards |
| The NTUC DER Training Award allows and encourages union leaders to pursue the Diploma in Employment Relations (DER) programme which is jointly offered by the Ong Teng Cheong Labour Leadership Institute and The SIM University (UniSIM). A total of 20 awards would be offered annually for applicants joining the DER programme. |

| The ULTRA Scheme provides subsidies for EXCO leaders who pursue diploma or degree part-time programmes from all recognised universities (local or foreign). In addition, programmes applied for must be industry recognised, be able to enhance employability of union leaders and be accredited by locally recognised institutions. |
