| Singapore Tripartism Forum : ASEAN Seminar on Tripartism & Social Dialogue - Measures to Manage the Downturn |

46 tripartite delegation from 10 ASEAN countries participated in this 2-day event co-hosted by Ministry of Manpower together with its tripartite partners Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).
Guest of Honour, Mr. Hawazi Daipi (Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Manpower and Health) shared that Singapore’s tripartism has been further strengthened as a result of the downturn. He added that Singapore managed the crisis with a united front based on decades of “trust, common understanding and shared purpose.” He urged to sustain, institutionalize and build on tripartism and social dialogue through vehicles like Singapore Tripartism Forum.
The delegates benefited from the engaging exchange of ideas and interaction among the ASEAN delegates through the dialogue sessions as well as insightful visits to STMicroelectronics Pte Ltd, TAFEP and also e2i.
